Where browser games save progress and what can erase it

Understand local saves, provider accounts, private browsing, and storage cleanup before moving to another browser or device.

Local saves belong to a browser profile

A browser game may save progress in cookies, local storage, or a browser database. That data belongs to a particular browser profile on a particular device. Opening the same page on another phone or in another browser does not automatically bring the save with it.

Embedded games can keep their storage under the game provider rather than under GameZO. If a save disappears, return to the original device and profile first. Check whether private browsing was used or whether a cleanup tool recently removed site data.

A website account and a game account can be different

Signing in to GameZO does not by itself guarantee cloud saves for every embedded game. A provider may offer its own account or export function inside the game. Read that game’s save instructions before relying on synchronization.

Before moving devices, look for an explicit cloud-save indicator, export option, or provider help page. If an export is available, store the file privately. Do not share account credentials, recovery codes, or exported personal information with another player.

Clean up selectively

Deleting cookies and site data can remove progress that has never been uploaded to an account. Clearing cached images and clearing site storage are different operations; read the browser dialog carefully before confirming a cleanup.

Private browsing is useful for a temporary session but usually discards its storage when that session ends. If you want to continue later, use your normal profile and check the game’s own save behavior after a short session. For questions about data collected by the website and outside providers, read the privacy and cookie pages.
